Q1:Who should become a Member of Private JetMD?

A1:If you would like peace of mind and stress free travel in case of illness, injury or accident while traveling, you should become a member of Private JetMD. Anyone traveling beyond 150 miles from home for any reason can benefit from a membership in Private JetMD. Membership for Individuals, Families, Seniors, and Employers provides peace of mind for the unexpected Medical Emergencies when you are away from home – even if traveling outside your country of residence.

Q2:What if I have a pre-existing medical condition?

A1:Private Jet MD encourages you to become a member regardless of your current medical condition. We can provide referrals for the best Medical Care throughout your travels. Our staff can help you know who has the best reputation around for specialized treatment as well as assist you in locating the nearest Western Accredited Hospital prior to your trip. In the event of a Medical Emergency while traveling, you can trust Private JetMD to refer you to the nearest quality medical care delivery service providers through a World Wide Network of prescreened qualified medical providers – regardless of any pre-existing medical conditions and in all emergency situations.

Q3:Who will provide the emergency medical care?

A3:Every Medical Escort and Emergency Care Staff provided by Private JetMD throughout the Emergency Medical Evacuation process is affiliated with a World Wide Network of prescreened qualified medical providers so you know that you are always receiving the best of care. These members of the World Wide Network must have a positive reputation in their field and adhere to procedures and practices approved by The Joint Commission and Joint Commission International. Each physician, trauma specialist, surgeon, dentist or other medical practitioner is referred through a trusted international partner who selects providers who received traditional western medicine training, adhere to strict policies required to meet qualifications, and speak English well. Complete Medical Case Management and Review directly from our Chief Medical Officer and our own staff of Physicians is provided from the moment you make your first call until you are back home recovering.

Q4:How are services provided to Private JetMD Members?

A4:All it takes is a single phone call for services to be initiated by a Private JetMD Member. Private JetMD Services may be requested by any Authorized Person, Traveler or Expatriate. Our International Emergency Contact Operations Center is ready to assist at the time of any medical crisis 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. One international phone number connects you to our Operations Center that can be vital when traveling outside the US, as 911 phone service is not available internationally.

Q5:Doesn't my health insurance give me the coverage needed while traveling?

A5:Most health insurance will not facilitate, nor cover the cost of emergency medical transportation when traveling outside the country. In addition many health insurance plans will not provide direct payment to foreign hospitals for medical care. Private JetMD Membership provides peace of mind knowing that in the event of illness, injuries or accidents while traveling more than 150 miles from home – you have access to quality Emergency Medical Treatment, Emergency Medical Transportation, and Medically Supervised Repatriation Services.

Q6:Are there any limitations to Private JetMD Services?

A6:Private JetMD obligation to pay for Medical Evacuation and Repatriation Services under Medical Service Membership is subject only to a high limit of $1,000,000 per Member per Incident. Membership Eligibility requires new members be younger than seventy-five (75) years of age. Newborn children are covered under the Medical Service Membership after the forty-fifth (45th) day from the date of birth. All Subscription Fees are due and payable on or before the Commencement Date of any travel; the anniversary of the Commencement Date during the Term; and The Renewal Date. Private JetMD shall have no obligation to render Services unless and until the Membership Subscription Fees have been paid in full prior to the initial date of travel.
